Rachel Yang was a Havenite citizen and an officer of the People's Navy. Holding the rank of Commodore, she and Major General Prestwick Thornegrave served as joint commanders of the task group that was sent to the Cerberus System and captured by Honor Harrington's force of former Hades prisoners.
