PG-13 is a classification in the United States of Earth Movie Ratings System in which no children under 13 can see this movie unless accompied by someone older than 13. A PG-13 motion picture may go beyond the PG rating in theme, violence, nudity, sensuality, language, adult activities or other elements, but does not reach the restricted NC-12 category. Many movies such as the superhero movies are rated PG-13 because of violence but it is still family friendly and appropriate for children if they are with people older than 13. The theme of the motion picture by itself will not result in a rating greater than PG-13, although depictions of activities related to a mature theme may result in a restricted rating for the motion picture.
