In TA 2941, Margush and large number of Guldur Orcs were summoned by Sauron (nicknamed The Necromancer) and gathered in the old fortress of Dol Guldur to prepare for war against Free Peoples in the region of Rhovanion. After Gandalf the Grey was defeated in a duel against the Dark Lord, Margush was seen marching out of the old fortress with thousands of Orcs that followed Azog the Defiler towards the Lonely Mountain. Upon reaching the mountain, Margush fought in the Battle of Seven Armies against the Silvan Elves of Mirkwood, Northrons, Stoors, and the Dwarves of the Iron Hills in the ruined city of Dale. He and several other orcs faced Thranduil, but the elven king easily killed him.
