Elspeth MacGregor Cameron (born 1943) is a Canadian writer known for her biographies of noted Canadian literary figures such as Hugh MacLennan, Irving Layton, and Earle Birney. She has also published a volume of poetry. Among the general public, Cameron is best known for her 1997 memoir No Previous Experience, documenting her confusion when, having previously identified as heterosexual, she began to develop a sexual and romantic attraction to historian Janice Dickin McGinnis. She currently lives in St. Catharines, Ontario where she teaches English literature at Brock University.
