Camelia Alina Potec ( Brăila , February 19 1982 ) is a Romanian swimmer , specializing in the freestyle , which at the Olympic Games in Athens ( 2004 ) won the gold medal in the 200 meter freestyle. Potec is a member of the Liceul cu Program Sportiv - Club Sportiv Municipal , and is trained by Ion Ionescu. Her international debut them in 1995 at the European Youth Olympic Days, where the stayer both the 100 (1.04,68) and 200mbackstroke (2.20,36) won.
