Monk was a creature that worked as a henchman for a man named Remek who had him kidnap the Prince of Inrak. In the course of this plot, he came into conflict with Inspector Bentley of Scotland Yard. Monk was not very intelligent, but he was extremely strong and a talented climber. He could scale the side of a building while holding a man under his arm.
