He began writing supplements for "Ars Magica" while still in college in the early 1990s and turned it into a full-time career toward the end of the decade, working for companies such as Last Unicorn Games on their Star Trek roleplaying game line and White Wolf on their "Trinity" and "Exalted" lines.
