Bavaryans were Humans who colonized Bavarya. They enjoyed cloning themselves (Doppelgängers), German language, and Greco-Roman gladiatorial combat. Bavarya was started with a thousand malcontents less than one hundred years before 2267. In that time, the planet's population growth exploded to about five million due to rampant Doppelgänger production. The society was divided between these Doppelgängers and the Herr-elite.
