Newcomers could still purchase packages, albeit at increased prices, and previous backers could upgrade their original package while keeping their lifetime insurance. Crowdfunding continued after November 2013, but without lifetime insurance. And Squadron 42(The single-player campaign) became a separate component with add-on cost at February 14, 2016 for $15. Previous packages before that date includes Squadron 42 with no additional cost.
