Barry Darnell and the Mobile Slim Band is an American band consisting of Barry Darnell and other members. The first album included Billy Rivers, Michael Goodrich, Charles Reynolds, Elbert Durham, Kim Coalter, Emma Darnell, and Lisa Darnell. The band released its first album, "Return of Mobile Slim" in 2008. The album consists of Blues and Southern Rock songs, one song having been written nearly 40 years ago. Influences include: James Brown, Ray Charles, The Allman Brothers Band, Howlin' Wolf, and Muddy Waters. They currently perform in Macon, GA.
