The noggik tree was a fruit-bearing plant native to the planet Mestiko, noted for their fragrant wood and gnarled branches. Noggik trees were revered in much of Payav society as a symbol of the diversity and plenty of life. Noggik trees stood in the courtyard of the Larendan Convocation grounds. (TOS eBook: Mere Anarchy: Things Fall Apart) Mestiko's noggik trees were destroyed by "The Pulse" in 2265, and its aftereffects. Dr. Cart etDeja was able to genetically engineer a new variety of noggik tree to reforest Mestiko, though the new trees bore little resemblence to the natural plants.
