During the Alderaan Civil War, the Sith Lord Nefarid maintained a hideout in the Glarus Valley. After a Jedi Knight deactivated the Death Mark laser's generators at the Mensaav Military Laboratory, Nefarid moved the superweapon's central computer to his hideout. The Knight would eventually attack the facility and defeat Nefarid in a duel, after which the Jedi destroyed the Death Mark's computer.
