The Fairy Islands are a cluster three small islands off the western coast of Anvestris. Although officially they are considered part of Anvestris, few explorers have been able to reach the islands and return of late, due to the treacherous tides and whirlpools surrounding the islands. The name refers to the belief, developed before the recent change in tides, that the islands were inhabited by mischievous sprites that liked to trash the camps and steal food. Today, most believe that more powerful forces now guard the islands - perhaps Taranna herself.
