Selene is a shapeshifting Bosmer found leading her coven deep within her sanctum, known as Selene's Web, in the Reaper's March. She is also a Changeling, rare forest spirits known to inhabit Valenwood. She is the high priestess of Shagrath, the God of Spiders, which grants her the power to turn into one herself at any time.
