Heavily urbanized, Carratos was a planet chosen by the Fallanassi to be a place of refuge for some of their youngest initiates while they were being persecuted on Lucazec. Akanah was sent to a school in the Chofin settlement. Around this time, Carratos was subjugated by the Galactic Empire around 10 BBY. The Empire established a heavy garrison and trapped its residents with high taxes for departure. When the Empire collapsed and the garrison withdrew, Carratos spiraled into crime and became home to many pirates. The planet was conquered by the Yuuzhan Vong during their galactic invasion.
