Sir William Pearce died 24 August 1932 Progressive Party Member of the London County Council elected 18 March 1853 –1892, 1895 1898 Tower Hamlets (Limehouse) English chemical manufacturer director of Spencer, Chapman & Messel, Ltd which was located in Silvertown member of the Council of the London Chamber of Commerce. 1876 elected member of the Tower Hamlets School Board (Liberal politician) sat on the Technical Education Board (1895–99). Also a chairman of the Main Drainage Committee. 1906-18 MP for Limehouse Various Parliamentary roles
