Captain Molly is a girl seen in season three of Sonic X, having a one-time appearance in episode sixty-eight. She hails from the planet Cascade (it's not named in the Japanese dub) where she was rescued from Metarex by Shadow the Hedgehog. Shadow notes how much she reminds him of Maria Robotnik and witnessed her sacrifice herself during a Metarex attack. Shadow built a memorial in her honor and was seen standing by it in the final episode of Sonic X (Japanese version only).
