Ryan Nelson Shealy (born August 29, 1979 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida) is a Major League Baseball first baseman for the Boston Red Sox. He attended the University of Florida and was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 11th round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft. Shealy played all of 2006 prior to the All-Star Game in Triple-A, batting .284 with 15 home runs and 55 RBI in 58 games. On July 31, 2006, he was traded to the Kansas City Royals for Jeremy Affeldt and Denny Bautista. He made a big impact, hitting .280 with seven homers, and 36 RBI in 51 games before being stopped by illness.
