Along with her husband, Paul Burns, she was a farmer. She was the mother of, a boy named James and a girl named Nara. Her farm was located outside of the city of Vesta on the planet Venus. She was killed along with her husband during the early days of the Neosapien war inacted by Phaeton in his quest to dominate the Human Homeworlds and eliminate the Terrans. Mary's children were vital in bringing about an end to Phaeton's rule. James Burns was the leader of the Venusian Resistance and Nara Burns was a member, and later leader, of Able Squad an ExoFleet e-frame unit.
