Alatusaurus scintilla is a 4-6 inches (10-15 centimeters) long subspecie of Alatusaurus, flying lizard that is found on Skull Island. The animal is described in the book "The World of Kong: A Natural History of Skull Island" (2005). A vivid berry-eating species, Alatusaurus scintilla males showed off their fire-engine red paint jobs to impress females in the dark jungle.
