Esmári (meaning 'the tongue') is the primary language for many nations of the plain of Esmá. It is often regarde as a mixture of Lezig-Meg, the language spoken by the nations to the west of the plains, and Eoni, the language spoken in the Eonean empire. The fertile plains that lies between these lands was left uninhabited (apart from the natives) for many years, because the impassable mountains in the west and the inhospitable desert in the east. A colony was founded by speakers of Lezig Meg, although only accessable via the coast. The colony expanded, the language absorbing words from the native language, Ongsga. Years later still, Eonean colonists came to colonise the plains, and their language merged, forming how they are today.
