Holocaust was a small-time gangster who caused crimes in Dakota since his childhood. Before the Big Bang happened, Smalls killed his father and became a wanted criminal in the city. Leonard was later seen in a gang-fight that was later garbled by Dakota police. During the fight, enclosures of gas infected the people around the sector. The gas gave Leonard Smalls superpowers including the power to control fire. Leonard named himself Holocaust and joined the Blood Syndicate. Tech-9 booted Holocaust out of the Syndicate, making the criminal to work alone.
