The Vankyr were an ancient race of beings with a host of Vampiric traits. The Vankyr would not age nor die by conventional methods, they fed off the living by puncturing their victims necks with their fangs then drinking the victims blood. They possesed unnatural speed allowing them to appear, almost to be in two places at once. The Vankyr had a sensitivity to bright light and walking in bright-sunlight could prove uncomfortable or even fatal for one not wearing heavy robes, covering their skin.
