She played Ellen, the maid to the Banks's family, in the 1964 film Mary Poppins and later provided the voice of Madame Adelaide Bonfamille in The Aristocats. Her most famous non-Disney credit was the voice of Auntie Shrew in Don Bluth's first animated film "The Secret of NIMH". Baddeley died on August 19th, 1986 of a stroke and was survived by her two children Pauline and Anthony.
