The Sharlissian Trade Corridor was a hyperspace trade route that connected the Core Worlds to the planet Kabal, located in the Mayagil and Bon'nyuw-Luq sectors in the Outer Rim Territories. In the years following the Invasion of Naboo the hyperlane was heavily taxed by the Galactic Republic. As a result, the Trade Federation discontinued operations to Kabal leading to food shortages. In 22 BBY, a rash of food riots swept the planet.
