This Trope is when a character expresses his overwhelming frustration by banging his head (often repeatedly) against something nearby. Desks and walls are the most prevalent targets, but other hard surfaces or objects -- such as telephone poles, nearby appliances, or trees -- are also acceptable. Most often seen in visual comedies, as doing this in Real Life could prove very painful.
