Hilda wants the residents to send Alan to Coventry but no one will. Audrey feels that things are getting too much for her. Jack worries about the missing necklace. Albert tells Ken and Val that he’s decided to stay a bit longer with them. Emily thinks the residents ought to do something special for Christmas but she doesn't like some of the suggestions offered. Alan tries to get on with Elsie by apologising for his attitude to Hilda but she doesn't like him and refuses to have anything to do with him.
