The 2002 MBNA Platinum 400 was a Winston Cup (now Nextel Cup) event that occured at Dover on 6-2-2002. Jimmie Johnson led half of the laps in route to his second career victory. Johnson used the win to move to second in points, 136 behind Sterling Marlin, who finished 13th.
