Quickstep is a ballroom dance performed in Dancing with the Stars. A fast flowing ballroom dance, born in the 1920's, taking elements from the Charleston and the slow Foxtrot. It is one of the five ballroom dances currently competed internationally by professional dancers, along with the Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango and Viennese Waltz. It is performed in closed hold throughout the dance. The Quickstep has been part of Dancing with the Stars dance repertoire since season 1.
