Steve Elliott is a defender who joined Rovers in the summer of 2004 on a free transfer from Blackpool. Since joining he has been firmly established as a member of the starting lineup, however an injury picked up in the FA Cup third round replay against Fulham in January 2008 sidelined him for a sizable portion of the 2007-08 season. He was released in the summer of 2010, after having spent six years with the club and having made 218 League appearances. He went on to join League Two side Cheltenham Town.
