Jean Massingill was a Solarian military officer who in the early 16th Century PD sought employment with the Star Kingdom of Manticore and later the Republic of Haven. She was married to Alvis Massingill, an accomplished naval engineer. Around 1519 PD, she and her husband came to the Manticore System to train the newly created Royal Manticoran Marine Corps. Their Assisted Immigration debt was soon paid off, and Jean rose through the ranks to Colonel and commander of the Casey-Rosewood Instructional Center, the primary training facility for Navy and Marine Corps enlisted personnel.
