During the Toran Liberation War, the Liberation Army attacked Fort Rakan in a clever faint, luring many soldiers stationed at Moravia to rush to Fort Rakan's defense. Simultaneously, a similar campaign was launched against Fort Duha, forcing the Imperial troops to split their forces even more. * Similar to Suikoden II's Rhetto Fortress and the Duha Fortress in Suikoden I, Rakan Fortress is a place that is never seen in the game, it is just a location that is known to exist, but the player cannot physically go there.
