A System Utility is a maintenance program tasked with maintaining Tron system function, grid engineering, energy distribution and make repairs when needed. The first system utility written for the Tron system was Shaddox who was compiled to assist Clu in building Tron City as well as maintaining urban infrastructure. An important function for utilities is making sure the Grid has sufficient energy as well as city construction. System utilities are able to manipulate and conserve large quantities of energy.
