Linus Garfield is an Assistant District Attorney in New York City. He is quite ambitious, and is not above overstepping his authority for personal gain. He is apparently a friend of Jason Timbrook. He first maneuvered to gain control of the Cadet Crusaders by pushing them to accept Gryphon (whose eligibility to be even a member was questionable) as leader, against the Cadets' charter rules. With Gryphon indebted to him, he was able to order the Cadets around at will. He attempted to imprison Jadis Diabolik and Jobe Wilkins, but was frustrated by Jadis and J. Parkinson Dunmore.
