Rock martins were a bird analogue native to Haley's Land on the planet Sphinx. Like the hill swallows, they preyed on insects like bark beetles and flat case borers. They were tied to many environmental and climatic factors, and their number of offspring always went lower in dry summers. (HHA6.4: TBLP)
