Rebels, not to be confused with the Militia, is another neutral force that can be spawned through Insurgency research or as a result of Partisans/Open Rebellion from Random Events. Insurgency rebels are exclusively TEC while the others can be spawned by for all races. The spawned rebel units are the racial equivalent of Heavy Combat Cruiser, Light Frigate, Long Range Frigate, Anti-Strike Craft Frigate, and sometimes Siege Frigate. Rebels are dangerous towards the Advent, Vasari, and TEC Loyalists, since TEC Rebels can research Truce Amongst Rogues.
