Naand was a pirate and a member of the Red Fury Brotherhood, a pirate gang active in the Cularin system before the Clone Wars. Most of the pirates in the Brotherhood, including the leader, were fond of the annual Festival held in Tolea Biqua, which was near the pirate base in asteroid L-7. Commonly, the majority of the pirates enjoyed the party. In 31 BBY, Naand and two other pirates, Triven and Ytram were ordered to remain in L-7 during the Festival, as a skeleton crew, much to their chagrin.
