G'narish was the Weyrleader of Igen at the end of the Eighth Pass. With the rest of his Weyr, he went ahead 450 Turns to the Ninth Pass when Lessa came back for them. His Weyrmate was Nadira. G'narish was the youngest of the Oldtimer Weyrleaders, and, along with R'mart, the most sympathetic to the modern Weyrleaders. When G'narish was a weyrling, during the Eighth Pass, he flew with Benden Weyr one season, when that Weyr was understrength.
