Kate MacLeod was the first wife of Connor MacLeod. After Connor was mortally wounded in battle, his revival was seen by Kate, not as a miracle, but a thing of horror and suspicion. Kate, Dougal MacLeod, and the clan accused Connor of being a devil and Kate, particularly, demanded that Connor be burnt. Connor's cousin Angus, vetoed the hysterical Kate, and banished Conner instead, never to return to clan lands.
