Matthew and Sooty decide to race across Heaton Park, with Matthew cycling and Sooty, Soo, and Scampi in the camper. As Matthew boasts about how easily he is going to win, Sooty uses a variety of ways to stay ahead. Then Matthew on roller blades takes a shortcut that leads straight to the boating lake and he splashes into it. Finally, they reach the park gates together, but Sooty, Soo and Scampi win the race because they can squeeze through the locked gates and Matthew can't.
