Like all clone troopers, CC-2705 was born in 32 BBY on the Wild Space planet of Kamino, being one of the millions of clones of Jango Fett, a Mandalorian bounty hunter. When the Clone Wars broke out after the First Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY, he fought for the Galactic Republic in the conflict as a commander in the Grand Army of the Republic; being one of the troopers selected for leadership training with Advanced Recon Commandos. He was placed into the unit Triton Squad, part of the 501st Legion. During the course of the war, he and the squad saw action on several planets, including Deko Neimoidia, Hypori, and even Geonosis, when the Republic attacked it for a second time.
