Ascalon City was the capital of Ascalon after the Searing. It was later invaded by Charr forces and its guards slain. In a final act of defiance King Adelbern summoned the powerful magic of his sword Magdaer All invaders were destroyed and it raised the ghosts of the fallen guards, whose memories still guard the city.
