Nordal appears briefly in the Burning Bridge. He was a Skandian and one of the group that Erak brought with him to fight for Morgarath's army. Before the Skandians could return to thier ships, Nordal was mortally wounded and was left to die. He later told Halt where the other Skandians were taking Will Treaty and Cassandra in exchange for Halt putting his sword back in his hand. He did this because he was dying and Skandians believed that if you died without a weapon in your hand you would wander through the underworld for eternity.
