The show is based on the martial arts sensation and enemy of the Ninja Turtles, Chris Bradford appearing in the 2012 TV series' fourth season as the Fugitoid's ship the Ulixes catches old television transmissions from Earth and then becoming the turtles new favorite TV show. Chris Bradford's 2 Ruff Krew acts as a spiritual successor to the Crognard The Barbarian cartoon from the third season. The series is a pastiche of the mini-series Chuck Norris: Karate Kommandos, and also references the cartoon Rambo: The Force of Freedom and the The A-Team.
