The SDPW/Type-Linear Cannon, LC, or Saulosian Railgun as it was sometimes called, was a kinetic based weapon that was developed by Saritee" Advanced Tech and one of its subsidiaries, Saulos Armed Industries. The Linear Cannon was noted to be one of the few weapons that was developed by the Saulosians that wasn't energy/particle based. The SDPW/Type-Linear Cannon was built in response to the deployment of DRAGOON Positron Blaster as the designers saw a need for an offensive support weapon that will aid in the destruction of enemy ships and vehicles after the DRAGOON had fired its weapon. It proved to be an effective anti-armour weapon as well as a powerful ship to ship weapon when used in conjuction with energy based weapons.
