The 501st were eventually able to destroy rebel movement on the planet, sending it back to Imperial rule. However the failure to apprehend the Jedi served as the reason for Taerak's death at the hands of Darth Vader a week later. The battle was also responsible for subjecting Captain Rex to a form PTSD, causing a sudden realisation of his horific acts of violence in the battles the 501st fought in during the Dark Times. Captain Rex soon went rouge after this battle, and was eventually found on Korriban in 10 BBY by Eriko Platoon.
