The Wise Old Owl is a character who appears late in the first Beechwood Bunny Tale, Periwinkle at the Full Moon Ball. She begins the Full Moon Ball just as the Bellflower family arrives there. When the Beechwood Grove villagers watch Periwinkle strut like a pigeon ("Tippee, tippee, tip, bow!") and hop like a frog ("Poing, poing!") at the event, they all begin to laugh, making the bunny nervous. Eventually, the Owl knows what is going on: Magda the magpie wants the audience to embarrass Periwinkle. As soon as the laughter subsides, Periwinkle resumes his dance steps at the Owl's request; the audience recognises his moves come from his teachers, the Wood Pigeon and Rainette the frog.
