The Yahnikurm Desert, also known as the Great Desert , is a location in the original Final Fantasy. It makes up the core of the Lufenian continent, in the northeast corner of the world map. The Great Desert is also the largest desert in the game, and the Mirage Tower lies in its center. The rest of the Great Desert is simply a huge expanse of sand, and there are places within it where sand is all the player's field of vision can see.
