Retroassassination is the act of going back in time to assassinate someone, either by killing them directly or by preventing their birth. The grandfather paradox is an example of self-retroassassination. Federation President Nanietta Bacco was the target of an attempted retroassassination in the year 2381, by an uptime faction in the Temporal Cold War seeking to stop the Temporal Defense Grid being built.
