PC Garnet was the policeman who brought runaway Rosie Webster back to 13 Coronation Street after she had been found on a train returning from Birmingham at Piccadilly Station without a ticket and the staff thought she looked too young to be travelling on such a journey alone. Rosie, at the start of her long teenage rebellion stage, spat out that she had a ticket but had simply lost her bag. PC Garnet left, Rosie stomped up to her room and the next day unapologetically explained that she had gone there with friends Jodie Pepper and Kayleigh Borthwick for a girl band audition but had failed to impress the judges.
